Step into the enchanting world of Blooms & Bubbly—a Cocktails at the Conservatory event, a springtime celebration set against the backdrop of the Conservatory’s popular Columbus Blooms exhibition. Enjoy beautiful melodies by local duo Honey & Blue, a whimsical bubble dancer performance, and sip on bubbly drinks while enjoying the gardens. Elevate your experience at the flower bar, courtesy of Wild Prairie Flower Farm, where you can purchase the opportunity to create your own bouquet to take home!
Cocktails at the Conservatory events are 5:30-9:30pm and strictly 21+. IDs will be checked at the door. Reservations are required for all guests, including all member levels and Monarchs, and close at midnight before the event. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Draw butterflies from life inside our exhibit, Blooms & Butterflies! Join Fine Artist Miriam Baranov as you create a vibrant butterfly watercolor, inspired by life. This all-levels workshop which takes place in our biome and the classroom will teach you essential techniques while inspiring creativity.
All supplies for this class are included, just bring your creativity!
Class Highlights:
-Spend some time in the Pacific Island biome, sketching your drawings. After sketching butterflies from life, we will continue working on your art piece in the classroom and finish a painting with watercolor
-Master watercolor basics: brushstrokes, layering, and color theory
-Miriam will demo various techniques and students will have the opportunity to follow along, before applying these concepts to complete a final painting

Celebrate love this Valentine’s Day at Franklin Park Conservatory! The vibrant blooms of the Conservatory’s Orchids exhibition set the backdrop for a tropical getaway. Sip on refreshing cocktails and tropical local beers as you sway to the rhythm of a steel drums duo, ride the waves on a mechanical surf ride, and learn the enchanting hula from Hawaiian dancers.
This is a community gardening class taught by the Conservatory’s Community Education Manager, Cindy Maravich. Classes in The Communal Garden series teach gardeners skills that can be used in community gardens or to support their community through gardening. They are low-cost in an effort to advance gardening skills in our communities. The series is a part of the Conservatory’s Growing to Green program, which supports and develops community gardens across Central Ohio.
Learn to grow a cut flower garden to brighten your home and yard. Discover how to cultivate long-lasting flowers, discuss plant conditioning methods, and how to create durable arrangements for yourself and friends. Join us for a guided walk in the second half of the class to explore current blooms on the Community Garden Campus.

All supplies will be provided; no previous experience is required for this class.
The class kicks off with an hour dedicated to hands-on learning watercolor fundamentals, covering tips, setup techniques, and viewing demonstrations on painting the subject matter, color matching, and creating color studies. Students can follow along, receiving critiques and having their questions answered.
In the second hour, students have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned by completing their own painting. Choose from a selection of photo references, combining the class concepts to craft a final study.

View ResultFranklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is thrilled to announce the return of our Wedding Showcase on January 24 from 6-9pm. The Wedding Showcase is a unique opportunity for couples to meet select vendors while enjoying gourmet hors d’oeuvres, bubbly samples, cakes and cocktails.
The Wedding Showcase is also a special chance to experience the Conservatory’s distinctive spaces at night. From the rustic-meets-refined Wells Barn to the tropical and historic John F. Wolfe Palm House, guests will take in each venue’s unique aesthetic.
From photographers to event planners, the Conservatory has experience with hundreds of vendors and has curated a selection of top professionals for the Wedding Showcase. These vendors include caterers, florists, photographers, DJs, wedding planners, cake designers, event rental companies, tuxedo rental professionals, and photo booths.
