How do I add the digital membership card to my iPhone?
Access the email from your smartphone and click the “Download” button, then click “Add to Wallet” and “Add.” The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in Wallet at any time.
How do I add the digital membership card to my Android phone?
Android users need to download Wallet Passes from Google Play. After you have the app, access the email from your smartphone and click “Download” in the membership email, and the card will automatically go to your Wallet Passes app, where it can be accessed at any time.
I don’t have a mobile phone. What can I do?

My family member is on this membership account also. How can they receive the card?
For Android users, navigate to the back of the card (click the small “i” on the front) and use the “Share Pass” button to send the card to your secondary member. For iPhone users, you will find the share icon at the top right of the Digital Card.
I downloaded my card, but I can’t find it.
If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there–it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.

I’ve never logged into my online member account before. How do I set up a login ID and password?
To log in to your member account, click here and select “Active Member Account” or “Forgot Password”, using your email address on file as your username. If you need to update your email address with us, please email [email protected].
I’m able to log in to my online account but the system does not recognize me as a member. What should I do?
You are likely logged into a guest account instead of your membership account. Please email [email protected] to request your email address be connected to your member account.
I don’t have an email address. How do I request a password to log in to my online account?
You must have an email address on file to log in to your membership account. To add an email address to your member account, please email [email protected].
What are the benefits of being a member?
Benefits include year-round admission to the Conservatory, 10% discounts on dining at the Garden Café and 10% discount in Botanica Gift Shop and Greenhouse. Please click here to view the full list of member benefits.
Is there an option to bring a guest?
For an additional $46 plus tax, an un-named guest can be added to any level of membership, with the exception of Access, Patron and Benefactor level memberships.
Do member benefits apply to the guests that I bring in using my membership?
Member benefits only apply to named cardholders.
Can I bring a guest to members-only events?
Unless otherwise noted, member events are for members only and are an exclusive benefit.
I have a Patron, Benefactor, or Monarch Society Membership. How do I book my free Special Engagement tickets?
Patron, Benefactor, and Monarch members receive free Special Engagement admission but are still encouraged to reserve their tickets in advance. This guarantees admission and makes the check in process efficient. Special Engagement tickets can be reserved online, over the phone, or in person.
Online: Using the ticketing system, select the Special Engagement, date and time of your choice. Member benefits will be automatically applied.
Over the Phone: Please call the Membership department (614.715.8054) during standard work hours and the Visitor Center (614.715.8002) outside of standard work hours.
In Person: Staff at the Visitor Center will be happy to assist you in reserving tickets.
I frequently visit other botanic gardens throughout the country. Is there a reciprocal membership program?
Yes, you can enjoy special admission privileges and discounts at 345+ gardens throughout North America and the Cayman Islands. The American Horticultural Society provides a list of participating gardens.
How many cards will I receive?
Individual and Senior Individual members receive one card, even with add-on guests. Duo level membership and higher receive two cards.
Can my handicapped adult child be added to my account?
If you have a handicapped child who is 18 years of age or older and would not be covered by your membership, we will add your child’s name to your membership card at no cost to ensure their entrance.
How do I receive discounts on education classes?
Find the class online and proceed through the online registration process. Member benefits are automatically applied during checkout.
Are memberships tax-deductible?
Yes, a portion of your membership may be tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
What is the best level of membership if I want to bring my whole family?
Members have several options. The Family level allows a total of two adults and children 18 and under free admission. You may also add a “plus one” for an additional $46 to bring one guest at each visit. If you typically bring two guests when you visit, you can join at the Family Premium level which includes free admission for two adults, children 18 and under and two additional guests.
Who can use my membership?
Those who are named on the card(s). If your membership includes guests, a named member must be present for guest(s) to receive free admission.
Can member children visit the Conservatory when a parent is not present?
Yes. Children under the age of sixteen must be with an adult chaperone, if not a parent. Children should present their membership card at the Visitor Center to receive free admission. If a caregiver accompanies your children: Your child is listed on the membership and is considered the member. The caregiver is considered a guest on your Family Plus One or Family Premium level or higher membership.
Can my nanny/babysitter/caregiver bring my children to the Conservatory using the Family Premium membership level?
Yes, your childcare provider may bring your children to the Conservatory without one of the named cardholders present. Please have them stop by the Visitor Center with one of the active membership cards. We will ask them to verify the address on the membership.
Is there an additional cost for the Children’s Garden on top of membership?
No, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden is included in all membership levels.
Can I change the name on my card?
We only process name changes at the time of renewal, or within 30 days of purchase.
Can I transfer my membership to another individual or receive a refund if I move away or decide I don’t want it anymore?
No, Conservatory memberships are non-transferable or refundable. Members who move away may still enjoy reciprocal benefits to over 300 gardens in North America and the Cayman Islands.
How do I update my contact information?
Members receive personal assistance with any membership questions. Call 614.715.8054 or email [email protected] for changes in contact information.
What do I do about lost or stolen membership cards?
You can still visit the Conservatory if you do not have your card. Simply show your photo ID at the Visitor Center so your membership can be verified.
Contact the membership office at 614.715.8054 or [email protected] to arrange for a replacement card. Your membership card will be replaced once at no charge during the twelve months of your membership. Additional replacement cards cost $5.
Can I put my membership on hold?
Memberships to Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens are good for one year from the date of purchase or renewal. Because they are a one year membership, we are not able to pause or extend the membership.
When I buy a membership, when can I begin to use it?
You can use your membership right away!
When you purchase a membership through the mail: You will receive a digital membership card to your primary email address in 3-4 business days. When you purchase a membership at the Conservatory’s Visitor Center or Botanica: You will receive a temporary membership card that you may use until you receive your digital card by email. When you purchase a membership online: You may use your email confirmation until you receive your digital membership cards by email.
Can I apply my paid admission to my membership if I decide to join?
Yes, you may apply a portion of paid admission toward the cost of your membership before 5pm on the day of your visit. The amount that you can apply depends on the category of memberships that you are purchasing. At this time we are not able to apply the credit online. Please stop by the Visitor Center before leaving or call 614.715.8054 before 5pm.
Do you offer any discounted memberships?
Yes, we offer an Access Membership for those who participate in Ohio Medicaid, Molina Healthcare, Ohio Direction, CareSource and WIC. The Access membership has all the same benefits as the Family Membership for $37.50 plus tax. This must be purchased from the Visitor Center with proof of participation.
We also offer a 10% discount to full-time educators and military personnel. This is not offered with donor-level memberships. Please bring proof of participation to the Visitor Center.
Do you offer a membership for young adults?
Full-time college students can purchase an Individual membership at a 10% discount with a college ID.
Can I upgrade my membership?
You may upgrade your membership at any time to make a greater contribution to the Conservatory’s mission. If you want to upgrade your current membership, you may pay the difference between the two levels and you will begin receiving the new benefits immediately. Your membership expiration date will stay the same.
Another option is to upgrade by paying the full price of the new membership level. You will begin receiving the new benefits immediately and if you choose this option, your membership expiration date will be extended for 1 year from your current expiration date.
How do I know when my membership expires?
Your membership expiration date is printed on the front of your membership card. You will receive a renewal notice in the mail in the weeks prior to your expiration date. You will also receive an email on the day of your expiration.
If I renew my membership before it expires, how will this affect my expiration date?
Your membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase. If renewing early, your new membership will add one year to your current expiration date.
Can an individual under 16 years old purchase a membership?
A primary member must be 16 years of age or older. A person under 16 may not be listed at the Individual (Individual Plus One or Plus Two) membership level.
