Franklin Park Conservatory is embracing winter with an all new Winter Ice Festival. The Conservatory will close at 4pm to prepare for these special engagement evening events which will feature Fire & Ice, a throwdown ice carving competition from 6:30-8pm pitting the professional ice carvers from Rock-on-Ice against each other in an all out friendly competition for bragging rights. Guests will be a part of the festivities as they choose a carver to cheer for and help him on to victory!
Guests can ice skate each night from 5-9pm on our Super Games synthetic ice rink, skates provided or bring your own! Take their picture inside a sculpted ice frame, warm-up with some hot beverages and food from the on-site food trucks, grab some adult beverages at the Watershed bar, or be very daring and opt for a Kona Ice! Weather permitting there might even be some snow to play in. When you start to shiver, head inside to enjoy the warm tropical oasis created by our annual Orchid exhibition, and warm the kids up with some winter crafts and games in the Grand Atrium.
Public Ice Skating will also be available on Sunday, January 19 and Monday, January 20, 2025 from 11am – 4pm as a part of general admission.
