Sunprinting Fabrics: Ornaments

Sunprinting Fabrics: Ornaments class is canceled.

Happy World Cyanotype Day! Celebrate this ancient art form that has been used to create printed patterns for hundreds of years by exploring the process of printing onto cotton fabric.

In this hands-on-class, transform plain fabric into a cyan masterpiece mounted in an embroidery hoop, resulting in beautifully patterned ornaments ready to adorn any space.

Artists of all levels are welcome to join this class, as instructor Kellie guides students through the process, from the chemistry behind the solution to designing your fabric and working in negative space, and creating your final print with the power of the sun.

If necessary, please check your spam folder for communications about this class.

Instructor: Kellie Gedert Kellie is a native Ohio artist and educator who gets her inspiration from nature which provides us with amazing botanical varieties with their own beauty and inspirational shapes and textures. Combining nature, process and chance, the results are beautiful. Many ideas come from regular nature hikes that provide so much clarity for her well-being.
