Needle Felting: Melting Snowman

While winter may not be over yet, we can dream of warmer days and melting snowmen. Meanwhile, let’s make a melted snowman out of wool, perfect to decorate your mantle or table with in winter!

Felt is a textile material that is produced by matting fibers together, in this case with wool and a felting needle. Participants will be led step by step through creating a snowman, then applying wool roving to add a ‘melting’ effect, and adding the final touches- a scarf, eyes, and a carrot nose! Poor Frosty.

Difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate; all supplies provided. Having thimbles or finger protection is not necessary to felt, but sometimes finger pricking happens. Please feel free to bring thimbles or fingertip guards!
