Nature Connects Walk & Sip

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of our summer exhibition, Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects® Made with LEGO® bricks and the colorful planting displays that bring it to life! Led by our Horticulture Project Manager, Alexis, this after-hours experience gives you an insider look at how we plan and build a major exhibition here at Franklin Park Conservatory.

During the tour, you will get a behind the scenes and after hours look at the exhibit, while learning about the process that goes into bringing an exhibit at the Franklin Park Conservatory to life. Alexis will explore the thoughtful plant selections and how the team landed on the plants that surround each sculpture, exploring how color, texture, and even the type of pollinators each plant would attract affect the design. View the original design maps and planning sheets that show how the installation is laid out from the very beginning, all the way through the daily maintenance it takes to ensure the sculptures and garden beds look their best every day.

Whether you’re into plants, building bricks, or just love seeing how things come together, this tour is a fun and fascinating way to experience Nature Connects in a whole new light.

Please note that this program will involve a gentle guided walk that will be mainly outdoors for 60-90 minutes, please plan your attire accordingly.
