Flower Arranging: Hand Tied Valentines Bouquet

Join Alexis Lorentzen of Botanical Blooms for a hands-on workshop and master course in flower arranging! In this class, participants will create a Valentine’s Day Bouquet from a unique and seasonal mix of flowers. Learn about the basics of prepping your flowers for the most longevity of your bouquet, color selection, the types of flowers available during this winter season, and how to achieve a balanced design.

Participants will end the class by wrapping their bouquet in festive paper and hand tying with ribbon to take home.

Instructor: Alexis Lorentzen Alexis Lorentzen is a Horticulturist at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens where she manages the collections in the Pacific Island Water Garden and the Bonsai Courtyard. Over three years ago she started designing with florals and fell in love with how pairing different textures and colors could create beautiful displays. Since then, Alexis has done several weddings and events and has started her own business, Botanical Blooms. She loves sharing her passion for plants and flowers with everyone and is excited to teach you about how you can create your own stunning displays at home!
