Fermented Beverages: Kombucha to Wild Soda

This is a cooking class taught by Trevor Ring, founder of Community Cultures.

In this hands-on, demo hybrid class you’ll learn how to make kombucha,  water kefir- a lactose-free fermented beverage containing different strains of probiotics than kombucha that can be flavored using fruit or juice- and wild-fermented soda flavored with seasonal fruits and herbs. You’ll get to taste all the beverages and take home starter cultures to ferment your custom batches at home.

This class will build your confidence to safely make these fermented beverages at home that can change with the season and your creativity.

Instructor: Trevor Ring Trevor Ring is the founder of Community Cultures. He has taught for a decade, worked for numerous agriculture, food and fermentation businesses, and run various fermentation CSAs. He is most excited about sharing his knowledge of fermentation and utilizing seasonal and regional ingredients to inspire his ferments.
