This new Community Outreach and Education center was built using the frame and other materials from a 200-year old Ohio barn. It was repurposed into a 12,000 square-foot facility with multi-purpose rooms and classrooms, a large demonstration kitchen, state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and a great hall accommodating over 200 guests.
Inspired by the native plant designs of New York’s High Line, the complementing horticulture scheme for the Barn celebrates native Ohio greenery. The Wells Barn also supports Conservatory revenue goals by serving as an event rental venue.
