Spend the Summer with Franklin Park Conservatory!

Join us for a summer filled with flowering fun at the Conservatory! Our summer day camp programs offer a week of engaging activities that will spark your camper’s curiosity in all things gardening! From exploring the Conservatory to harvesting vegetables from the garden, and interacting with real bugs, there’s so much to discover at Franklin Park Conservatory Summer Camps!

Conservatory Camps will:

  • Provide a safe space for all campers
  • Foster new friendships through active, outdoor play
  • Explore the wonders of the natural world through gardening and learning about insects!

Member Registration Dates:

Half Day Camps: Monday, January 13th, 2025 at 11am
5-6 Year Old Camps: Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 at 11am
7-8 Year Old Camps: Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 at 11am

Non-Member Registration Dates:
All Camps are open for Registration on Monday, January 20th, 2025 at 11am

Bobba Family Access Scholarship for Camps and Classes:

A limited number of 80% off scholarships are available to Franklin Park Conservatory Family Access Members. Please complete and submit the online form between December 9-15, 2024.

2025 Camps

Before Camp Care

Before Camp Care is Monday through Friday, 8-9am.

A full week of Before Camp Care is $50. If needed, Before Camp Care can be added after Camp Registration is complete. Before Camp Care is only available for
full day camps.

After Camp Care

After Camp Care is Monday through Thursday, 4-5pm.

A full week of After Camp Care is $40. If needed, After Camp Care can be added after Camp Registration is complete. After Camp Care is only available for
full day camps.

June 9-13 OR July 14-18 | Monday - Friday, 9am-12pm All the Colors of the Rainbow What makes a rainbow? Where do colors come from? Explore the science and beauty of color-it’s everywhere we look! Discover favorite colors with hands-on activities and search for color in the Conservatory’s gardens. Children must be toilet trained. $155, $135 for members
June 16-20 OR July 21-25 | Monday - Friday, 9am-12pm "B" is for Bugs We’ll explore the world of crawling, wiggling, and flying bugs-butterflies, bees, beetles, spiders, worms, and more! Outdoor explorations and hands-on art and science investigations help develop an understanding of an insect’s role in our environment. Join us for a “bug’s-eye view” of the world. Children must be toilet trained. $155, $135 for members
June 23-27 OR July 28-Aug 1 | Monday - Friday, 9am-12pm Storybook Alive Let’s discover the fun and magic of storybooks! Books and characters come to life through craft, play, and exploration around the Conservatory. Enjoy story- based activities like counting bugs, and learning how a garden grows. Fill your imagination and get lost in the wonderful world of storybooks! Children must be toilet trained. $155, $135 for members
July 7-11 OR Aug 4-8 | Monday - Friday, 9am-12pm Garden Detectives Let’s dig deep into the secrets of the garden! Garden exploration and hands-on activities nurture an understanding of where our food comes from and an appreciation of the beauty and magic of the natural world. We’ll discover seeds and roots, vegetables and fruits, wiggling worms, butterflies, and bugs. Children must be toilet trained. $155, $135 for members

Use all your senses to discover the smelly, the sticky, and the unsightly! Enjoy a range of hand-on activities with the goal of finding the beauty within each mess. $295, $275 for Members
June 16-20 OR July 21-25, Monday - Thursday, 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-3pm Bugology They crawl, they fly, and they pollinate! With binoculars in one hand and magnifying glass in the other, discover the creatures responsible for fruits and vegetables. Explore the Children’s Garden while searching for pollinators of all kinds. Build a bird’s nest and make butterfly crafts. $295, $275 for Members
June 23-27 OR July 28- Aug 1, Monday - Thursday, 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-3pm Fairies and Gnomes Magic is in the air at Franklin Park Conservatory! Grab your fairy wings and your gnome beards for an exciting week of imagination and fun! Spark your camper’s curiosity by exploring the wonders of the Conservatory’s gardens. Campers will spend a week discovering the fun and fantasy of gardens and the creatures that make them grow. $295, $275 for Members
July 7-11 OR August 4-8, Monday - Thursday, 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-3pm Garden Explorers Follow germination from seed to plant. Plant, tend, and harvest straight from our gardens. Learn how to turn garden veggies into tasty treats. Explore how you can use materials from the garden for art and science while enjoying all the Conservatory has to offer. $295, $275 for Members

From the colors of flowers to the unique texture of leaves, discover the wonders of art in nature! At Franklin Park Conservatory, learn how to use natural materials in art that will inspire a new form of expression in every camper! $295, $275 for Members
June 16-20 OR July 21-25, Monday - Thursday, 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-3pm Powerful Pollinators They are small but mighty! They are all around us! They are POLLINATORS! Come learn with us about the power and unique skills that make pollinators one of the most diverse and important groups of creatures. From bees to butterflies, to birds and bats, discover how these pollinators help our gardens flourish. $295, $275 for Members
June 23-27 OR July 28- Aug 1, Monday - Thursday, 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-3pm Eco Explorers Have you ever wondered why some plants can survive in the desert? Or have you ever been curious about how much water plants in the rainforest need? Campers will learn all of this and more in Camp this year! We will discover he secrets of different ecosystems through exploring the Franklin Park Conservatory Biomes! $295, $275 for Members
July 7-11 OR August 4-8, Monday to Thursday, 9am-4pm, Friday 9am-3pm Garden Gastronomy Something’s cooking at Franklin Park Conservatory Summer Camps! Become a master chef and learn how to create recipes from garden grown fruits and vegetables. Campers will spend a week picking edible plants from the garden and discovering the flavorful recipes that can come from homegrown foods. $295, $275 for Members
Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations at least a month (30 days) before the start of camp week will receive an 80% refund. Cancellations less than a month (29 days) but more than two weeks will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than two weeks (14 days) before the camp week starts are not eligible for a refund. If cancellations occur, Summer Camp spots cannot be transferred to another individual. Cancellation spots will be filled by individuals on the waitlist.

Waitlist Procedure

Registration is not guaranteed for individuals on the waitlist. When cancellations occur, the first person on the waitlist will get a chance to register for the open spot. Cancellations are more likely to occur closer to summertime. Upon a cancellation, the first name on the waitlist will be contacted by Camp staff. After being, contacted, waitlist individuals will have a limited amount of time to register for the open camp spot before the offer will be extended to the next name on the waitlist.

*All campers will need to be potty-trained before attending camp. Full-day campers will need to be able to fully attend to all their bathroom needs, change out of a wet bathing suit, and apply their own sunscreen. Camp staff cannot assist with bathroom needs, buttons, zippers, swimsuits, lotions, or any other activity that requires close physical contact with campers.
