The Conservatory is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

PALM HOUSE CLOSURES
Please note that the John F. Wolfe Palm House is a special event space within the Conservatory, and this garden area will occasionally be closed to the public, including the following dates and times:

December 18 (at 3pm)
December 19 (at 3pm)
December 21 (until 4pm)
January 4 (at 3pm)
January 25 (at 3pm)
January 26 (at 3pm)

Columbus Arts & Culture Fee: For all tickets purchased on or after July 1, 2019, a 5% ticket fee will be applied. The Columbus Arts & Culture Fee helps make the arts available to all by funding exemplary artists, arts organizations and programs that educate and engage audiences throughout Greater Columbus.

Reciprocal Admissions Program: The Conservatory is part of the Reciprocal Admissions Program, and offers free or discounted admission to members of participating gardens.

Community Days: On the first Sunday of each month, the Conservatory is free* for residents of Franklin County and the City of Columbus (with valid ID) during General Admission hours. Tickets cannot be reserved in advance on these dates; please check in at the Visitors Center. Learn More. *Does not include Special Engagements

Accessibility: There are a number of Access Offerings available to ensure the Conservatory is an inclusive and accessible facility.

Adult Supervision: Guests under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Gift Cards: Conservatory gift cards are available for purchase at the Visitor Center during open hours. They can also be purchased by emailing [email protected]. Gift cards can be mailed but the Conservatory is not responsible if they are lost, stolen or damaged.

Directions & Parking

Location: Franklin Park Conservatory is located at 1777 E. Broad Street, just less than two miles from downtown Columbus, near the intersection of East Broad Street and Nelson Road.

Cars: Parking at the Conservatory is free. Limited parking for larger vehicles is available on-site.

COTA Bus Stops: Take the 10 line eastbound and use the stop at E. Broad St. & Franklin Park Conservatory; take the 10 line westbound and use the stop at E. Broad St. & Brunson Ave.

Bikes: There are two bike racks located on the pathway from the main parking lot to the Main Entrance.

Visitor Policies

Garden Etiquette

During your visit, please stay on pathways and refrain from picking flowers, climbing trees or harvesting fruit or produce from gardens.

PETS

Pets are not permitted at the Conservatory, including outdoor areas that require admission. Pets can be brought to Franklin Park surrounding the Conservatory.

Service Animals are permitted at the Conservatory in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Dress Code

Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. Costumes or disguises that conceal identity are not permitted. The Conservatory reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who refuses to comply with this policy.

REFRESHMENTS

The Garden Café is open daily from 11am-4pm. Food and beverages are not permitted in the art galleries.

Food from outside the Conservatory is permitted.

Smoke-Free Facility

The Conservatory is a smoke-free facility. This policy includes all use of smoking products, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes as well as alternative smoking devices including e-cigarettes, on the grounds. Thank you for your cooperation!

Photography & Videography

Guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos and videos for personal, non-commercial use during their visit to Franklin Park Conservatory. Please view the Photography Policy for more details.

Commercial photography/videography requires prior approval from the Conservatory’s Event Sales Department. A Commercial Shoot Application must be completed & submitted prior to shoot. For more information regarding commercial shoots, please view the Photography Policy.

On occasion, the Conservatory will photograph or take video of guests for educational and/or promotional purposes. Admission to the Conservatory, and registration in virtual programming, grants permission for use of these images.

Contest rules

Franklin Park Conservatory will occasionally run contests that are open to the public. Past contests have included trivia questions and submission of photos using hashtags.  Please check the website and social media for more information and rules.

Ticket Donation Requests

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is happy to support non-profit organizations whose mission aligns with the mission of the Conservatory. Non-profit organizations can request up to four (4) general admission tickets to Franklin Park Conservatory for raffles and auctions.
