Frequently Asked Questions regarding membership at
Franklin Park Conservatory

When I buy a membership, when can I begin using it?
If you join or renew through the mail, you will receive your permanent membership card(s) within ten business days after your purchase.  You may immediately use the temporary membership card that you received when you purchased a membership at the Conservatory or your online purchase email confirmation.

How many cards will I receive?
Student and Individual members receive one card. Household and Grandparent level memberships and higher receive two membership cards.

Who can use my membership?
Those individuals whose names appear on the card(s).  If your membership includes guests, you must be present for your guests to receive free admission.

Can member children visit the Conservatory when a parent is not present?
Yes.  Children under the age of sixteen must be with an adult chaperone, if not a parent.  Children should present their membership card at the Ticket Center to receive free admission.

What do I do about lost or stolen membership cards?
Contact the membership office at 614.645.5617 to arrange for a replacement card.  We will replace your membership card once during the twelve months of your membership at no charge.  After that, a $3.00 replacement charge will apply.

Can I bring a guest to members-only events?
Unless otherwise noted, member events are for members only and are an exclusive benefit.

What if I have a change of address?
To be sure to receive all of your membership correspondences please contact the membership office via email or phone with your old and new address information.  We will change your record accordingly.

Do you have an electronic newsletter?
Yes.  If you haven’t already done so, contact the membership office with your email address to receive the Conservatory’s monthly e-updates.

At what other gardens is my Conservatory membership honored?
Conservatory members enjoy benefits at over 200 gardens and arboreta in North America.  When you joined or renewed, you received a list of participating institutions and the reciprocal benefits they offer.  Be prepared to present your Conservatory membership card to receive those benefits.  To view an online list of reciprocal American Horticulture Society institutions, visit www.ahs.org, click on membership, and then reciprocal admissions program garden listing.  You may also request a list of participating organizations by contacting the Conservatory’s membership office.

What are the Conservatory admission prices if I want to bring a guest? $7.50 adults | $6.00 seniors/students | $4.00 children aged 2 – 12

How do I know when my membership expires?
Your membership expiration date is printed on the front of your membership card.

Will I get a renewal notice?
You will receive a renewal notice in the mail about six weeks prior to your expiration date.  You may return the renewal form to us through the mail, or you can:

  • Renew online by visiting our website at www.fpconservatory.org
  • Download the membership application from the Conservatory's web then fax or mail it to us with your payment.
  • Use your credit card to renew your membership at any time by calling 614.645.5617 (Visa/AMEX/MC).
  • Renew your membership at the Conservatory’s Visitor’s Center.
