Summer Camps for Children Ages 6–8

Cookbooks & Passports

June 8–12, 9am–4pm
Campers travel the world and learn about faraway places and cultures as they prepare fresh, healthy, international recipes using organically grown produce from the Conservatory’s gardens. The budding chefs will impress friends and family with their new skills!  Ages 6–8.

Fine Art Camp

June 15–19, 9am–4pm
Using the botanical gardens and plant collections as inspiration, young artists create works using various mediums including watercolor, drawing, paper making, and more.  Ages 6–8.

Summer Drama Camp

July 6–10, 9am–4pm
Adventure into the world of acting! Campers create their own original production using creative movement, character development and script writing. Complete with lights, costumes, and sets, a special performance for parents concludes the week.  Ages 6–8.

Garden Chefs

July 13–17, 9am–4pm
Follow your food back to its roots! Campers harvest fruits, vegetables, and herbs from the garden, then head into the kitchen to create culinary masterpieces using healthy, garden fresh recipes. Ages 6–8.

Nature Detectives

July 13–17, 9am–4pm
Investigate the habitats of Franklin Park and discover fun surprises at every turn. Campers search for clues to learn which animals call the park home, investigate soil, seeds, and sprouts to learn how plants grow, and make and use gadgets to explore the wonders of animals, plants, and the natural world.  Ages 6–8.

Green Thumb

July 27–31, 9am–4pm
Explore the garden and exercise your green thumb! Campers perform mad botanist experiments, create garden art, enjoy garden-fresh snacks, discover how a garden grows, and learn about all things green.  Ages 6–8.
