Community Backyards Workshop

Saturday, August 5, 10–11:30am
Attend this free workshop led by Franklin Soil and Water to learn about improving water quality with rain barrels and rain gardens, why native plants are so important, and how composting improves soil conditions.

Interested in backyard conservation? The Community Backyards program offers one reimbursement up to $50 after you purchase an approved rain barrel, compost bin or native plant(s), or a $100 reimbursement on the purchase of native tree(s). Note: Not all participants will qualify for the $100 native tree reimbursement. See the website for more details.

Eligible residents will then receive a voucher at the conclusion of the workshop listing eligible rebate items. For more information on participating communities and eligible rebate items, please contact Kristin Hilson at (614) 486-9613 or visit www.communitybackyards.org.
